The JFCC Charity Jam has been made possible by a generous grant from the family of Timothy Mapes, a former Wall Street Journal correspondent who passed away at 42 in 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. Our thanks go out to Glynn and Elizabeth Mapes, who felt that their son Tim, a former JFCC member and Indonesian music aficionado, would enjoy having an annual event held in his honor.

Obviously we are very excited (and nervous) to play this gig. We will play first at 8 PM sharp. It will be our longest set yet. We are also very keen to witness the performances of other bands who are wayyy tighter than us, especially Auman from Palembang.

Last Show of 2013 : Fuzzy Friday at Cafe Mondo, Kemang (27/12/2013)

So we are playing this for our last gig of 2013! It's the first edition of #FuzzyFriday and it takes place at Cafe Mondo, Kemang. We are playing early since Gary has a flight to catch later that night. See you!

Next Show : THURSDAY NOISE #1 at Borneo Beerhouse (October 31st, 2013)

Okay, so here's the next one for us. We are playing the very first edition of Thursday Noise who apparently focuses on indie rock/pop/alternative/shoegaze/fuzz-laden goodness, etc. I hope it will be a regular event.

 
This show will have Morfem, Mellon Yellow, Skandal (Jogja) and us. Shout out to our friends Barefood who had to pull out from the show. I'm sure they will play the next one! It's right on Halloween, so you know it's going to be fun! Come out!!!

Show : Overture #1, AtAmerica,Pacific Place (29/9/2013) + Link to Our Entire Set

So we played this gig just a few days ago. Overture is AtAmerica's first attempt at providing independent bands a 'proper' venue to play. The show was definitely a bit unusual for us, in terms of the venue especially, but we did alright in the end. We played with Marche La Void, which is almost at the end of other spectrum of rock music, but we didn't mind. It made an interesting mix of crowd. 

AtAmerica requested us to do two covers of American bands, so we did. We played "They Always Come" by Dinosaur Jr and "Rich" by Jawbreaker.

We'd like to thank a lot of friends who came, supported us and made us feel less awkward on the big stage full of lightings and smoke machine (haha). Thanks to Bagus and Ken for helping out with the technical aspects of things. Our friend Anggia recorded our set as always, and we will post the individual videos once they're up on youtube.

Full Set Videos From HummingMad #8

As usual, our awesome friend Anggia Murni documented almost the entire show that night. We played 6 songs, all of which will be on our first full-length and 23 as an 'encore' sort of. We didn't rehearse that last one haha. Check them out and let me know what you think of the new songs! 

Footsteps

Finally! a new recorded song? Not quite. Here's a live version of the song 'Footsteps' which will be on our upcoming first full-length. It will be released by Sonic Funeral Records. The original recording was done by Anggia Murni at Pop Up! a while back. Enjoy!

Retrospective Video of Deathrockstar AMN #8 : Vague, Fever To Tell, Windyasari, Sir Dandy and Merah

So Deathrockstar just published a retrospective video of AMN #8, the one we played at a few months ago. It has some footages and a few words from the performers regarding the event. Fever To Tell, Windyasari, Sir Dandy and Merah also played. If you're interested, the first 2-3 minutes of the video is all us. 

AMN #8 was the last show we played with our original bassist, Adit. Despite breaking-my-guitar-string-halfway-through-the-second-song incident, I think we played quite well. Thank you to our good friend Ken Jenie for being our sound guy that evening and made sure we didn't sound like total shit. The song during our footage is called "Retreat". Check a few post below for the full video of the song here. It's also one of our newer songs. Fingers crossed for another EP our next year.
