The JFCC Charity Jam has been made possible by a generous grant from the family of Timothy Mapes, a former Wall Street Journal correspondent who passed away at 42 in 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. Our thanks go out to Glynn and Elizabeth Mapes, who felt that their son Tim, a former JFCC member and Indonesian music aficionado, would enjoy having an annual event held in his honor.

Obviously we are very excited (and nervous) to play this gig. We will play first at 8 PM sharp. It will be our longest set yet. We are also very keen to witness the performances of other bands who are wayyy tighter than us, especially Auman from Palembang.

Last Show of 2013 : Fuzzy Friday at Cafe Mondo, Kemang (27/12/2013)

So we are playing this for our last gig of 2013! It's the first edition of #FuzzyFriday and it takes place at Cafe Mondo, Kemang. We are playing early since Gary has a flight to catch later that night. See you!

Show : Bergoyang Bersama Total Jerks at Porcea Studio, Depok (Nov 30th)

Alright, so I should've posted this BEFORE the show actually takes place. My bad. Anyway, we played this last Saturday. It was our first time venturing into Depok area and it was also the first hardcore/punk show we had played in a while. 

The studio was quiet far so by the time we got there, we had missed a few bands. The Spikeweed delivered their Ramones/Descendents power chords tunes as expected, and CBA did a pretty exciting cover of Fugazi's Waiting Room. Antiseptic was loud as hell and it's pretty amazing how they've managed to keep the band going for almost 20 years now, despite the line-up changes. Real Project were really tight and Total Jerks closed the show with their obvious 80's influenced (think Minor Threat) brand of hardcore. 

The highlight for me, of course was The Kuda. I'm biased though. Despite not performing 'Hey Jansen', their contribution to Rocket Rain soundtrack, they delivered a solid late 70's/early 80's head bopping hardcore punk with some post-punk/garage influences. This band needs to be more well known because of how good they really are.

A Music Network # 8 by Deathrockstar

So we just played this gig last night. We were up first and I (Yudhis) broke my G string (hahah) half into the second song. I think we messed up quite a bit on occasions. Maybe it was the nerve, maybe it was the fatigue, maybe we just suck, who knows? Overall it was fun because of friends who made effort to come out and made us feel welcomed among the sea of strangers. Yay for friends.
